A young, sensitive, impressionable young girl should not have been told that someone she loved had simply expired ~ she needed another family member to be there ... to share her grief.
Years later . . . I detest that word.

This makes my heart sad...expired is not a very sensitive word when dealing with the death of a loved one for sure!
ReplyDelete...but, on a similar note...I took a drink of milk this morning only to discover it had EXPIRED!!! Ugghhhhhhh!

OK, that's powerful. I agree with Marie, not a very sensitive word . . . and nasty when it happens to your milk!! On the other hand, I love it when Bed, Bath & Beyond accepts expired coupons!!! And when you think something expires at the end of March only to find out it really said May . . .
